"rebuildingiraq" : Iraq Ministry of Oil News: The Minister of Oil Meets with the Algerian Minister of Energy.
Mr. Al-Luiebi met with the Algerian minister of energy Mr. Nooraldeen Botarfa in Baghdad at Wednesday the 10th of May. Mr. Jabbar Ali Hussain Al-Luiebi the minister of oil praised the historic relations between the Iraqi & Algerian people. Mr. Botarfa was glad to visit Iraq and confirmed the keenness of his country to strengthen the relations and bilateral cooperation between the two "brother countries". He said that he will discuss with Mr. Botarfa about strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to raising the mutual cooperation in the oil sector. As well as the consultation and exchanging ideas about the development of the oil sector and the necessary coordination between the producers inside & outside OPEC to take the necessary decisions to stabilize the international oil market.

Mr. Al-Luiebi confirmed that the ministry of oil have made big plans to develop the oil & gas sectors in Iraq. Mr. Al-Hindawi confirmed the keenness of his group to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with the ministry to develop the oil & gas sector in Iraq. The two parties discussed during the meeting about the bilateral cooperation and the opportunities of investment in the projects of oil & gas sector. Mr. Jabbar Ali Hussain Al-Luiebi the minister of oil met with a delegation from Delta international company for investments headed by Mr. Adil Al-Hindawi the local administrator of the group in Iraq. He said also that there are many investment opportunities in the refining sector and the infrastructure.
Which added new generating source to add (100) megawatts to the national unit capacity. And supplied the Haritha station, the Haritha investment station, the Khor and the Rumaila station, in addition to other stations with the gas fuel. Mr. Jabbar Ali Hussein Al-Luiebi the minister of oil sent a telegram to his Excellency Dr. Hayder Al- Abadi the Iraqi prime minister to inform him about the accomplishment of the new unit in Kirkuk refinery. Mr. Al-Luiebi said also: "the ministry of oil is working to adda new refining unit to Kirkuk refinery with a capacity of (10) thousand barrels / day before the end of this year". He said also that the ministry of oil have accomplished earlier "in a record time" the supply of Shatt Al- Arab power station with the gas fuel and started the trial run operation of the station.
