The South Oil Company (SOC) started the development operations and extension of Khor Al-Omaia oil field in the south of Iraq by the cooperation with the ministry of transportation. The rehabilitation & development process will include the digging and deepen of the passages & anchor places of the oil tankers. It is trustworthy to say that the ministry of oil is exporting the oil through the Basra & Al-Omaia ports in addition to the floating terminals.
