The South Oil Company (SOC) started the development operations and extension of Khor Al-Omaia oil field in the south of Iraq by the cooperation with the ministry of transportation. The rehabilitation & development process will include the digging and deepen of the passages & anchor places of the oil tankers. It is trustworthy to say that the ministry of oil is exporting the oil through the Basra & Al-Omaia ports in addition to the floating terminals. SOC started the rehabilitation and development operations of the port by cooperation with the ministry of transportation to dig and deepen it in order to receive the tanker ships which are carrying more than one ton.
